Villa Rica permitted 588 housing units in 2025, more than any other town we cover. The cheapest hour anybody will ever spend wiring one of those houses was the hour before the drywall went on. For the ones that missed it, and for the buildings that were standing long before them, there is still a right way to do it.
Villa Rica went from 16,970 people in 2020 to 21,022 by 2025, a rise of 23.2 percent, and the city has said plainly that its infrastructure did not keep pace. Gold was found at Pine Mountain just north of here in 1830, so the older half of town is a great deal older than the growth. We work in both halves.

Some of these houses have a shop or a detached garage on the lot. All of them had a stretch before the drywall when running cable cost almost nothing, and a much longer life afterwards when it does not.

Villa Rica is the birthplace of Thomas A. Dorsey, the father of gospel music. What decides a Sunday now is whether three hundred phones in one room can all get on at once.
A 67-bed hospital and two interstate exits are the sort of thing small offices and shops locate near. Most of them run on a network somebody set up once and nobody has looked at since.
Office, suite and warehouse network buildouts

Villa Rica is about 20 minutes from the shop in Bremen — Carroll & Douglas County, on US-78 / I-20. Buildings here have their own habits, and knowing them is most of what separates a quote from a guess.
The Census Building Permits Survey counted 588 units permitted in Villa Rica in 2025 — 336 single-family houses and 252 apartments across seven buildings. That is up from 377 in 2024 and 272 in 2020, and it is more than any other town we cover. Every one of those houses had a few weeks when the studs were open, which is the only cheap moment there will ever be to put cable in a wall. In our experience most get closed up without it.
01
The city has put residential development on hold
Mayor Leslie McPherson said in June 2026: “We have had phenomenal growth and to be honest, we are outgrowing our infrastructure.” New residential development is on hold while wastewater capacity and roads catch up. So the work here now is mostly in buildings that already exist — permits already issued, houses already framed, and a great many finished rooms that never got wired.
02
Nobody can tell you your provider from the town name
FCC Broadband Data Collection filings for December 2025 put Charter/Spectrum at 47.4 percent of Villa Rica and Comcast at 61.6 percent. The town is split, the two footprints overlap, and which one reaches a given street varies. We will not guess a provider off a city name. It comes from a lookup on your actual address, and that happens before anything gets designed around it.
03
The city sits in two counties at once
Villa Rica straddles the Carroll and Douglas county line — the 2025 estimate splits it 12,280 in Carroll and 8,742 in Douglas. On a new build that is not trivia. Which county your address falls in decides which office handles permitting and inspection, and it is worth settling before anyone schedules a rough-in.

A 67-bed hospital, and a crane on it
Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica on Dallas Highway is a 67-bed acute care hospital, an accredited Chest Pain Center and a certified Primary Stroke Center, with roughly 700 births a year. A four-story expansion broke ground in October 2025, adding 25 or more inpatient beds and a women’s center. Hospitals pull small offices in around them, and small offices are networks — phones, cameras, card readers and a closet nobody planned for.

Fourteen miles is not a distance around here
Villa Rica is 13.7 miles from Bremen, about twenty minutes, with two I-20 exits of its own — 24 at SR-61 and 26 at Liberty Road. Midway Church runs two campuses, one on Midway Church Drive here and one on Davis Boulevard in Bremen. That is not a client list, it is evidence: congregations already treat this corridor as one place. Southwire is consolidating three Villa Rica distribution sites into one Bremen building for the same reason.

Common questions
Villa Rica questions,Answered plainly.
What people in Carroll & Douglas actually ask before they call.
Honestly, it depends on the address. FCC filings for December 2025 put Charter/Spectrum at 47.4 percent of the city and Comcast at 61.6 percent, so the town is split and the two overlap. Anyone who tells you the whole town is one or the other is guessing. We check your specific address, and either way what we build is the network behind the modem rather than the service itself.
01
We have a house going up in Villa Rica. When does the wiring go in?
After the frame is up and before insulation and drywall. That is the only stretch when every wall in the house is open, and cable run then costs a fraction of cable fished later. One thing to settle early: Villa Rica sits in both Carroll and Douglas counties, so which office handles your permitting and inspection depends on which side of the line the lot is on.
02
Our house is already finished. Is it too late to wire it properly?
No. A good share of what we do is retrofit. What it takes depends on attic and crawl space access, how many rooms you want to reach, and what is already in the walls — which is exactly why the assessment is free and comes before any number. We walk the house, tell you what is possible and what is not, then quote from what we actually saw.
03
Are you far enough away that a service call becomes a problem?
Villa Rica is 13.7 miles from Bremen, about twenty minutes, with two of its own I-20 exits. We work it as part of a normal run rather than a special trip. We will not print a guaranteed response time we cannot keep, but the drive is not the thing that would slow us down.

We come to the building in Villa Rica, look at what is actually installed, and tell you plainly what is fine, what is a problem, and what it would take to fix it. You get the findings whether or not you hire us.
